SAFETY Tips

Your personal safety is the most important thing you have!

If you are concerned for the well being of you or your children via text, email, phone conversation or in person, always call 911 and get assistance no matter where you are. This is important to remember if you are supporting a person in crisis!

Use your phone as an “eye witness” to your he-said/she-said scenario.

  • Have your camera app on the front face of your smart phone (easy to turn on quickly)

  • By turning on your video camera, the audio, visual and time stamp will engage immediately.

  • If necessary, hold your phone in your hand like you’re just “carrying it” and aim your hand in the direction of person or incident. Try to capture the surroundings and if possible, an image and audio of the person.

  • ALWAYS tell Law Enforcement you have this video.

Please reach out to someone you trust.

  • Reach out to a family member, coworker, friend, or neighbor and share any concerns or incidents for support

  • Share FACTUAL and ACTUAL events and conversations as they have occurred

  • Ask this trusted person to be a support to you as you begin to walk out the resources and assistance you may be receiving because of a scenario
